Core Dog Training Advise

There are many areas that you can train your dog in and most of those areas are for fun. Training your dog to do things like roll over, sit and jump are tricks for entertainment and not vital. If you want to know how to train dogs you need to make sure that you are training your dog for a serious purpose. Serious training includes things such as potty training, barking, behavioral training and command training for your dog.

Barking

Barking is a trait in dogs used to scare away people or warn people of something. Sometimes though your dog will bark out of fear and it is during these times that it is useful in quieting your dog. When training your dog to stop barking at your command you need to make yourself displeased at your dog, which I believe at the time is very simple to do. A stern “NO” will make your dog learn this kind of training, make sure that this “NO” is not a shouting no, it is a stern one with a louder voice. Shouting at your dog will only make it harder for you to train him or her. Another good strategy to train your dog is to use treats, especially if your dog is already used to knowing how to train dogs with them.

Potty Training

This kind of dog training should be started when your dog is 4 to 7 months old. This is the best time to train your dog, as he will learn the most and the quickest. Plus this is one the many things that you want when knowing how to train dogs because of how vital it can be. A clean dog will make you’re life a lot better and make your happier as well.

When you are training your dog for this kind of training you have to think how you will let your dog go to the bathroom. If you are going to let him go outside or on a piece of paper deciding this can be confusing but I suggest outside because it is the easiest and most convenient way to go.

Dog training Leash

These are the kinds that you may see people have for the most part, they are the ones that people use for training because of how flexible they are. Many of the times they are made out of rubber and other elastic materials making them more comfy for you and your dog. Another advantage of this material is the fact that you are able to tug on the strings without hurting your dogs too much.

Puppy Body Leashes

These are usually for puppies that have not fully develop the muscles and bones in their neck. Although this happens rarely, dog owners can snap the necks of puppies if they tuck on their collar leashes too much. Another idea behind using this body leashes is that you have more control over your dog. These usually cost a small amount more than the regular collar ones and can be something that you may use.

Although not very popular to being with these kinds of leashes has been having a massive breakthrough. Being able to control how long you want the leash to be can be useful in many ways. Dog owners can choose between having the dog roam on its own, or if their is too many people or an obstacle in the way the owners are able to shorten the leash to protect their dogs. Another idea behind this kind of leash is for dog training, you can still train your dog with this lash on because of how far it can reach. Playing a small game of catch and come is something that is ideal with this leash.

All these dog leashes has their own benefits and faults, you just need to see which one will benefit you the most and that will probably be the best. How to train dogs online

The second part of the “how to train dogs” series will cover everything you need to keep your pet healthy. A healthy pet means that you are able to keep your dog longer and cherish more time with it. Being healthy means that you have to give it daily walks, and maybe even exercise as well as feeding it good food.

Food!

Dog food is basically the best that you can do for your dog, not only does it have all the daily vitamins and nutrients that your dog needs but is slimmed down. Their is usually very little to no fat in these foods plus they are cheap and can be transported easily. Health wise the only way you can be healthier is if you prepare your dogs mean each and everyday, and that can be very hard to do sometimes as we all have lives. Milk and water are the best liquids for your dog, they can also have something sweet every once in a while as a treat but make sure that they can eat it because some things are only edible to human and are poisonous to dogs.( 5 Harmful Foods for Dogs.)

Another thing is snacks, they are very effective and great to train with but they should only be fed to your dog every once in a while. Snacks usually contain high amounts of fat, cholesterol and other unwanted substances. Use them wisely, as this will greatly benefit your dog.

Exercise:

Most people would exercise their dogs by taking them on walks and runs and that is the usual. Sometimes you can see that your dog is getting chubby and if you do it is a good idea to take the initiative and train your dog to be more fit. Instead of just walks, try to introduce other activities like catch and tag. Some dogs can even learn how to play soccer if you take the time to teach it. Not only will exercise help your dogs health it will keep it from being hyper at other times. Seems like hitting two birds with one stone eh!

Exercise can also give your dog more muscle for them to use at their disposal later on, which is another thing that is great. As you grow older your body starts to deteriorate, a dog’s body has the same effect except they deteriorate faster and at a faster pace.

How to train dogs-Without yelling

May 21, 2011 by Ivan

soft hard approach to dog trainingWhy does everyone yell? They do this all the time due to the fact that many people believe that their points will get across the louder they yell. Under many circumstances this is true but not when you want to train your dog. The simple process of how to train your dog without yelling will make you not only better trainer but will also help your relationship with your dog.

Causes

Sometimes it is very frustrating to train your dog, they do not do what you want and just horses around all day. You spend all this time on your dog and it seems that never ever works. Although these things may all be true you still need to calm yourself down and not yell.

Yelling can do either two things, provoke your dog to be more hyper and horse around more or get them to disobey you.

1) When you decide to yell your dogs take this as if you are trying to encourage him to keep playing like he does. Which means that your dog will become more hyper and keep on doing things that frustrate and make you mad. Keeping yourself cooled down is the only way to prevent any of this.

2) The opposite may occur depending on how your dog takes the yelling, they might be sad and not really do what you want it to do. Which means that the more you yell the worst this “silent treatment” will go on. This is not how to train dogs.

How to train dogs without yelling

It takes a few steps to keep your self calm and not yell at your dogs. You need a good setting, be relaxed and have a lot of energy.

Good setting-This not only means that you need to have nice open place to train your dog but you have the time to. When you need to get things done in 15 minutes it usually gets frustrating if you cant get it done by the last 5 minutes.

Relaxed-DO not train your dog right after work or after you just been exhausted, this creates a lots of stress and it makes it harder for both you and your dog to train. It takes both of you guys cooperation to make anything happen.

Energy-This goes hand and hand with being relaxed, you cannot be really exhausted when you do this training. Do your dog training when you are really hyped up with energy.

These are just a few tips and steps that you can take to know how to train your dog without yelling.
